Della Mae Deelsnyder

Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017. at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, officiated by Mr. Ken Renkes. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Fulton Chapel. Burial will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery. Memorials to the Fulton Fire Protection District Ambulance and First Reformed Church Radio Broadcast have been established.Della Mae was born December 29, 1927, in Garden Plain Township, Whiteside County, Illinois, to Joe G. and Minnie (Jaarsema) Ottens. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade school. On October 20, 1949, she married Allen E. Deelsnyder in Morrison, Illinois. He died December 21, 2015. Della Mae was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the former Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton, Illinois and the church’s Priscilla Circle. She enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening, and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Keller of Fulton, Illinois, Lynne Hamilton of Coal Valley, Illinois, and Joyce (Eric) Vroman of Seneca, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Keller, Kimberly Keller, Benjamin Hamilton, Kara Hamilton, Heather Vroman, Taylor Vroman, Amber Vroman; three great grandchildren, Cassie, Mia, Lucas Keller; two sisters, Luella Buis of Morrison, Illinois and Betty (Donald) Matthew of Indio, California; one brother, Harvey Ottens of Morrison, Illinois.She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary Deelsnyder; one son-in-law, Gary Keller; four sisters, Pauline Ottens, Katherine Bielema, Johanna Vegter, and Jessie Dykema; three brothers, David Ottens, LaVerne Ottens and Gerald Ottens. Donald E. Horn, 83

Horn, 83, of Cato, NY, passed away Saturday September 2, 2017, at Loretto, Syracuse, NY, after a short illness.He was born in Victory, NY, to the late Robert and Stella (Pierce) Horn and had been a resident of Fulton for 15 years.Mr. Horn was a United States veteran having served in the Army from 1956-1958.He retired from Young and Franklin, Liverpool, NY, as a machinist.Mr. Horn was a member of the Mexico Lions Club for 20 years.He loved to play cards, visit the casino and in his younger years he was an avid hunter.Mr. Horn enjoyed traveling with his family and especially loved his visits to Las Vegas and Hawaii.He was predeceased by his wife, Vincenza (Ulano) Horn; and sisters: Cola Chatfield, Jessie Prent and stepsister, Irene Wall.He is survived by his children: Freida Walton of Florida, Kathleen Poorman of Fulton, Marie Horn of Fulton, Donald Horn of Hastings, Gina Bills of Oswego, David Horn of Georgia and Dan Horn of Phoenix; siblings: Stella Parson of Florida, Richard Horn of Brewerton, NY, and Frank Horn of North Carolina; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, with the funeral service to follow at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.Burial will be held privately Wednesday morning in Martville Cemetery, Martville, NY.Donations may be made to the Mexico Lions Club, Mexico, NY 13114.Share this:Tags: Donald E.
